Wireboy
I just wish to say Merry Christmas to you all. I have to say it now as I am working for most of the holiday period so I won't get much chance to come on here until after Xmas. Also my computer decided to retire and I'm writing this on the I-phone which takes far too long. Once again Merry Christmas and all the best for 2012. Cleopatra
Me too Dizzy, and I'm strongly attracted to sparkling things like sequins and cut glass. And diamonds but it's difficult getting my husband to take notice!

Cleopatra
That's amethyst, good for influencing calm and peace of mind. A cluster of amethyst is beautiful to look at too, especially under a spotlight.
Dizzy
I'd like that on my wall Baz. I've got a lovely amethyst 'rock thing' (I'm sure it's got a special name but to me it's a 'rock thing') and the colours are beautiful although it doesn't seem to do much for keeping calm and peace in the house. Lovely thing and thankfully it does seem to bounce well and is clearly very hard to break. Have we gone off topic.... eek !! Happy Xmas everyone... again

Cleopatra
I'd like that on my wall Baz. I've got a lovely amethyst 'rock thing' (I'm sure it's got a special name but to me it's a 'rock thing') and the colours are beautiful although it doesn't seem to do much for keeping calm and peace in the house. It's called a cluster Dizzy, and if you put it together with a clear quartz crystal it will increase the energy of the amethyst.
Dizzy
I've been told today that it's called a geode Cleo... but whatever it is it definately doesn't seem to work so I need a quartz too then eh ? Worth a try I suppose
Cleopatra
A clear one mind you, not a smokey one! Don't leave your amethyst in direct sunlight or the colour will fade if you do. Never heard of it being called a geode before, only a cluster.
Cleopatra
Ahh! a geode is a small round rock with crystals growing inside it, Dizzy, you may be interested in reading:- http://www.ehow.com/about_5035986_geode.html

observer
Still bemused as to why folk spend time and effort putting up decorations, only to take them down again a fortnight later?
