Observer II Posted November 28, 2018 Author Report Share Posted November 28, 2018 What we suspected from the beginning Dave; and now Corbyn seems to be going for another referendum (must have done his electoral sums!). There's a legal argument now in train, that suggests that article 50 cannot be revoked unilaterally by the UK (according to EU lawyers). This would mean we go out on their terms (May's deal) and vassalage with no say OR we re-apply to join, with the loss of the rebate and imposition of the Euro. Either way - defeat and humiliation. What we have now, is the screaming of defeatist snowflakes and the continued doom and gloom message from the Remoaners. If things are going to be so bad, they need to tell all those illegal migrants risking life and limb to get here, plus the three million EU migrants gagging to stay here ! Milky Posted December 3, 2018 Report Share Posted December 3, 2018 Don't normally stick my nose in here but the EU have more problems then Brexit, there is Italy, France, Greece, Hungry all are presenting problems to the EU. As for Brexit, I voted to leave but if I had to choose stay or leave on Mrs May's terms I rather stay. But nothing has changed from a few years ago when the UK voted to leave, the fact that a lot of people come here needing resources such as roads, houses, medical treatment, schools policing, yet there is no money in the UK to pay for any of these things. It seems the only thing the UK can afford is a ever increasing EU and a foreign aid bill. A bit off topic but: Macron has been calling for a more integrated closer EU led by Germany and France (he used to include Italy in these calls) can anyone exp-lain why Macron thinks France is in any position to be a EU leader?
