On a positive note though, the boss of the National Grid said yesterday that the threat of power cuts this year was now extremely unlikely and that reserves in the UK and most of the EU are at maximum. Unsurprisingly, now the tanks are full, and the panic buying is over, the worldwide price of gas dropped at the end of last month to pre-war levels. How long it’ll stay that way is anyone’s guess. Don't forget ,for low income consumers there is also Warm Home Discount from your supplier of about £150. You have to apply for that though via the supplier's website.
