Observer II
Seems Gordon Brown is the first to come clean and say he wants to re-join the EU, no doubt he's said what most Lab MPs and Party Members are thinking, and demonstrating the utter contempt they have for the majority of Brits.   😠
asperity
Labour seems determined to display their irrelevance rather than providing a proper opposition to the government.
Davy51
The trade part of the EU when it was the Common Market was ok. The real traitors were the politicians who turned the UK into a European state & surrendered sovereignty. These failed Labour big wigs are a part of that movement.
Observer II
You'll recall that Brown was the PM at the final surrender, signing at Lisbon; but went a day late to avoid the press coverage.  He's an example of the kind of arrogance and contempt for the electorate, that most politicians have had for the decades leading up to 2019.  😠
Davy51
As was Major a died in the wool Europhile.
Observer II
I don't think these re-joiners realise what re-joining entails - IE;  compulsory acceptance of the Euro, loss of any rebates and loss of a veto.  😠
asperity
The re-joiners only see the upsides - well paid sinecures for themselves and their mates. Sod the UK, it's full of ignorant racists and Little Englanders anyway.
Observer II
Well that sums up Brown's attitude; still recall him being caught out, calling that woman a racist bigot; not realising his mic was still on.   😠

Most folk had no recollection of him a just a few years after he left office..
Davy51
Gord seems to be cropping up more in the news at present. I wonder if he is hoping to become Starmer's successor on a pro Europe agenda. Gordon Bennett !

Observer II
We'll be dealing with the arrogant legacy of Brown, Blair, Major, Cameron and May; for many years to come.   😠
