Geoffrey Settle
Given that half our garden is moving around already, plant pots blown over, covers taking off and flying away it's going to be a windy afternoon and night. What's it like where you are is it a moving experience for you?
asperity
Put it this way - I'm glad I'm not at sea tonight!!!

kateoflymm
It seems to have quietened a little in Lymm. This afternoon I saw what I thought was an orange balloon floating over the roof of the house opposite, then I saw it was a Sainsburys plastic bag. Should be about in Wigan by now. Dizzy
It has been a bit fresh and breezy hasn't it but certainly not gale force or anything to worry about. Seems to have died down a bit here too although someones wheelie bin is still trying to work its way down the rear road bit by bit. I think it passed mine about an hour ago
observer
Not quite a hurricane is it?!
Geoffrey Settle
Well the strong winds have not been so strong here but they will have done their job and brought a blast of cooler air. So it's Autumn weather arriving from now on and I for one will be getting out my thermal running gear to keep warm. I can't wait to get out in the snow like I used to do in the day's when I was a real runner.... oh well good memories, father time has caught up with me BUT I'm going to fight off the grim reaper for a while yet. with the help of my New Balance Running Shoes. LymmParent
Is there some sort of award for "Most Pointless Forum Thread Ever" - because I do think we have a possible winner here, gents.... or is it just the usual bloke obsession with wind taken to extremes?
Eagle
Geoff is renowned for starting pointless threads. In this instance he wanted to give himself an opportunity to show off his new running shoes without having us think him a poseur.
