She has put the cart before the horse here - surely it is modern family life that is out of the step with the law! Fair enough, a wedding with all the extras costs a bomb - but a simple register offic ceremony doesn't - and we wouldn't have the ludicrous situation of half a dozen illegitimate off-spring as brides maids.
