Tories to dump Human Rights Act, says minister.

The Government has lost an appeal allowing them to sling the terrorist Abu Qatada back to Jordan to face charges.

This piece of filth has managed to avoid extradition by all sorts of silly points of law for years and always at the tax payers expense.... now three appeal court judges have told him he can't be deported in case he doesn't get a fair trial in Jordan....

Lord Dyson said the court accepted that Qatada "is regarded as a very dangerous person" but that was not "a relevant consideration" under human rights laws..... so there you have it. Human Rights laws dictate that the rights of a terrorist are more important than the rights of innocent men, women and kids; the very people his sort will kill and maim to further their cause

Hopefully the Government will appeal and if that doesn't work, hopefully some spook will put a bullet or fifty right in the back of his head

They blew this case from the very beginning; by trying to play the game according to the current HR luvvie rules. All that was required in the first instance, was transportation to Brize Norton, escorting aboard an RAF transport. and a flight to Jordan - sorted. Then amongst all the uproar from the luvvies, the Home Sec could have apologised to parliament for the oversight  !

Nice to see that our Government doesn't mince its words in the propaganda war against terrorists.

Abu Qatada: "Kill the infidels! Slice their throats, burn their homes and take their women as war booty!"

David Cameron: "I am completely fed up with this man."

Some people may be happy to live in a country where the authorities can gleefully act ourside the law (until it affects them, their family and friends anyway) and where the powers that be act no better than the terrorists (acting like secular ayatollahs issuing fatwas) - but I would not be.

If they want to change the law then fair enough but until then they have to follow it - however inconvenient - if not then our society is not worth protecting.

How can we protect our society when our laws tell us to protect the very people that want to kill us?

1) I am not acting as an apologist for terrorism - just supporting the rule of law.

2) No I am not gay (fail to see the relevance) and , just to cover any other areas of bigotry before you get to them , I am not suffering from any physical or psychiatric illnesees or disabilities. I am not black, Asian or Arabic, I am not a follower of Islam. I also do not have a criminal record. That should just about cover it. (Although judging by your past postings - who can be sure! )

It seems to me the goalposts have shifted. As i understood, the objection from Qatada was that he faced torture if sent back to Jordan ,but listening to news reports today, the talk is that evidence has been gathered by torturing other prisoners to be used against him.

Surely though this deadlock could be resolved if he was brought before the international court in the Hague to answer any charges.

it is amazing that we can extradite British Citizens to the US (a country which does still have the death penalty) yet we can't kick out foreigners who are terrorists because the country he will be set to may not give him a fair trial!!

Only in luvvie Britain!
