observer
Wonder if it will off set the speculative rise in crude, due to the Libyan adventure?

Evil Sid
So if I fill both the car and the bike up after six tonight I can save a whole ...er...22p. (or half a bag of crisps if I get the small bag)

observer
A non-event - as it's basically a neutral budget with some taken from Peter to pay Paul. 1p off ?1.35 is frankly a joke.
disgusted
been even better if he removed the iniquitous car tax inflation creator. Better still if he hadn't put it up 3p per litre 3 months ago. Exactly. While he did at least get rid of the automatic increasing whatever you call it, to then go on TV and waffle on about getting rid of these increases imposed by the last govt, when he only recently hammered the motorist himself is absolutely astonishing in its brass neckedness. harry hayes
Well, I thought that considering we are broke,it was quite a good budget. Helping to free industry should be our number one priority and he has taken steps to help that. I'm afraid we have been cossetted over the years and a "what's in it for me" attitude prevails. Understandable, but perhaps a fault which flies in the eye of common sense. Happy days
wolfie
Good to see that Boy george is setting an example with the spending cuts. The new red budget case only cost ?4000. more than some pensioners get in a year.
