Eagle
Surely you aren't expecting a point? "Poor" is not a word you associated with millionaire footballers.

observer
No point merely an observation, sure he wanted to play but fate can be cruel.

Sue Durnim
He could sky+ it, won't miss it then! He will then probably have a better chance of seeing the cup lifted by his x team mates.
LymmParent
I do feel sorry for him. Such a horrible thing to happen out of the blue. If he'd thrown a Euromardy and gone off after being flattened, he'd probably be OK now. He must be terribly upset. Personally, I'm hoping Fabio has the grace to select him and let him walk onto the pitch just as a nod to his previous contributions. Bazj
I'm hoping Fabio has the grace to select him and let him walk onto the pitch just as a nod to his previous contributions. and waste a valuable place for a properly fit player? I don't think so. Becks would have only been a cameo player anyway, past his best and ready to move on 2 years ago tbh
LymmParent
Do we have enough fit players to complete a squad? The rate it's going, Wayne's Gran will be filling in the back row and Posh will be in goal!
Eagle
I think now that Capello has been relieved of the problem of "shall I pick him or shall I not", Beckham will be in the FA party and will be of more use than the blazer brigade on jollies in selling the 2018 World Cup. Unfortunate for Beckham but fortunate for the FA. Note to Obs, unfortunate not poor.
