observer
Best way to erase all memory etc? Yes, I know with a lump hammer, but is it straight in with the hammer or is better to try stripping the various bits out first?
Paul Kennedy
Why don't you just take out the hard drive, they normally are quite getatable, and destroy it, then you can recycle the laptop.
observer
So it's just the hard-drive that needs breaking up?

Mary
Yeah take the hard drive out and pound the stuffing out of it with a hammer - the relief will be exquisite
Bazj
Hmmmm I wonder if we can persuade Lt to do that to his!

wolfie
A laptop with a dud battery would probably be of more use.
Dizzy
Its' not quite the same as just taking it out and turning it on wherever you are though. It can be really frustrating at times
observer
Got my new one today - so in with the new, out with the old - it's a throw away world after all! Think I'll now have to get a PC for my games though.
Lt Kije
If you run a strong magnet over the hard drive, that is normally enough to kill them but its not asc much fun as a hammer
