WHO will rule the World ?

Observer II

Recommended Posts

A World Health Organisation Treaty is currently, quietly going through our Parliament, which will hand over sovereign powers to an unelected, unaccountable organisation.   Our politicians, always ready to pass the buck to super-national organisations, so they don't have to make decisions, appear to be handing over sovereign powers by signing up to this Treaty.  Now if you objected to the recent covid lockdowns imposed by our Gov, such powers will be transfered to the WHO, but without going into the Treaty in detail, you will discover that the Treaty is full of powers of imposition, which should alarm any democrat.   Seems our MSM are complicit in allowing this to happen, as the front pages are silent on concerns.   😠

I don’t see much wrong with that.

Nobody likes being told what to do but there are some things in life where the good of the whole is far more important than the opinion or view of an individual country. We might believe we know better than everyone else, but we can’t all be right so when it comes to worldwide issues like pandemics and climate issues, a global perspective is the best option.

the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or even the one.

something i heard many many years ago and still relevant today.

having a global body, elected or otherwise, to set out measures for dealing with a pandemic is a sound idea. the problem coms in getting all nations to sign up to it and then getting them to implement whatever measures are recommended.

what is the carrot that will get them to do this and what is the stick that will make them fear not dong it.

The proposed treaty does not exist is its final form, the final decisions will not be made until negotiations finish in May 2024. The debate in parliament was about a petition calling on the Government to reject the Treaty before it even had a first draft. The proposal to have this treaty was put in motion by Boris Johnson on behalf of the UK, and other world leaders. It is being drafted in a way that means it does not have to be legally binding. All this feverish "government is betraying us stuff" is getting tedious in the extreme.

There are draught proposals from the WHO which should be somewhere on the net, I saw them on Redacted (youtube);  they appear quite imposing on National sovereignty and individual freedoms.   As for the legally binding bit, I wonder if that's what they said about the ECHR ?!   Interesting also, that whilst most Countries pursued the lock down model, espoused by the WHO;  Sweden used the herd immunity model, which appear to have had more success. 💀

Oh dear, Sweden has a very different population distribution by geography and also age distribution amongst the densest housing. What works here isn't right for Sweden; there isn't one solution fits all and the Swedes and Brits know this but YouTube may not. Life is more complicated than the blogosphere pretends.

It might be one organisation, but it’s made up from multiple members from around the world which would probably include experts from places like Sweden and the UK. Better to have multiple experts looking into all the variables and trying to come up with plan that works for all rather than trusting in some whacky leader who gets his information from Youtube.
