Labour Resurgence ?

Observer II

Recommended Posts

Seems, due to the fickle nature of the electorate, that Labour are now polling way ahead of the Tories, which, when pitted against the schoolgirl economics of Truss and Kwartang isn't a surprise.  But listening to their offerings at their Party Conference,  Starmer, who lied to his own Party Members to get elected as Leader, and can't tell us what a woman is, they have even less of a clue than the Tories.   Starmer offers nothing to the red wall social conservatives who switched to the Tories in 2019,  with more spending on the green agenda to the detriment of working class folk,  total open doors for migrants, continuation of the woke agenda etc.  Think folk have to remember when they last left office, with a note at the treasury, that there was no money left.  If Tory MPs want to keep their jobs, perhaps they need to get rid of Truss and Co, and do some public opinion surveys, especially within the red walls.     😠

Seems to me that the Conservative party have made a right mess of the situation and by all accounts we’re in a worst position now than before the mini budget. Had they just helped those in genuine need it would have been better for everyone and we wouldn’t then be in this ridiculous situation.

Bill 😊

Truss seems to be deliberately trying to lose the next election - is it a plan to pass the hot potato to Labour who will take 5 years trying to sort the mess out, giving the Tories a chance of a come back after the following 5 years ?   Following the decision to give tax breaks to the top 1% of high earners, they are now considering cancelling the trople lock for pensioners again, thus hitting the most vunerable group in society, and the group that tend to actually vote.   Crazy.

Looks like Truss and Co have backed off tax cuts to the rich, but will it save them ?    The fact that they wanted to do it, has exposed them as the same old "nasty Party" pursuing factional interest rather than the benefit of the  Country as a whole.  Whilst there is a case for cutting spending and reducing the role of the State, the question is where ?   I would suggest that an attack on wokism and the green agenda, would find more support amongst the white working class that voted BREXIT and then Tory in 2019; EG; Scrapping all "diversity" Officers posts, abandon "net zero" commitments that punish working people,  get a grip on immigration and return all illegal migrants currently costing £5million per day in hotel accommodation;  stop all overseas aid, including military support for Ukraine.  Finally, secure the future of the Union by scrapping the N/I protocol,  organise an inquiry and audit into the financial dealings of the SNP and increase the bar for a referendum on independence;  and scrap the House of Lords and replace it with a PR elected Senate; and keep well away from Macron's "political union", which is a back door to the EU.  Assuming the Tories wish to stay in Gov.
