Good luck Bill ... you could always get Mrs G. to type for you as you dictate your posts 😁 It would fill in those long uncomfortable visiting times that all people face ; long pauses among any thing that comes to mind. I dread visiting times for that very reason

I needed to phone my doctors today And was waiting 15 mins to get through not a big deal as my mobile has unlimited hours' But if I was a Pensioner on a home landline I tried to work how much it would cost as not just 15 mins on hold but 5 spent on talking to the receptionist. Well on my virgin landline(which I don't use. ) it was 12p a minute so £ 2.40 !!!!! disgraceful both virgins charges and the inability of whoever is in charge of NHS call rates make these lines 0800. Imagine once a week, in a year ? that's £ 124.00 a fair old whack on the nose for a basic rate pensioner or anybody on limited welfare benefits. Something needs sorting out 😒

When my house insurance went up yet again I phoned to complain as after 12 years no claims 'its not really fair. I was told my post code was in a designated flood zone' I explained that we had recently had £23 million pounds worth of flood defence completed. Immediately without a moments pause ...I was told it did not count as we were still designated a flood risk..😲. It's crazy I was banging my head against a brick wall It seemed obvious the call handler was working off a sheet of standard caller answers. It's daylight robbery putting it mildly 😒

In all honesty Bill In 2022 Britain this kind of action should not be required. Whatever happened to the Land of Milk and Honey promise made over 100 years ago as an excuse for the pointless wholesale slaughter of our nations youth.? And even now it hasn't happened. And before any of our more controversial posters(no names no pack drill 😉) chirp in; it isn't due to recent events that doesn't excuse the other 90 odd years.
