safeway60
Wigan made an almost impossible comeback yesterday against Hull KR...I seem to remember Wire made a very similar comeback a few years ago at Wakefield, perhaps not so great a deficit but very close to it...Details Latch ? Everybody knows you're the Wire chief anorak. Very competent display yesterday vs Huddersfield in which the Wire put on a show of the new found tactics which were on show at Wembley, namely, very quick hands across the line creating an instant overlap. Some really good quality tries and I can't help feeling if we had played Wigan yesterday they wouldn't have been 26 behind, it would have been closer to 50 from which nobody could ever come back from. Gary
Not quite the same anorak as Latch but I was at that Wakefield game and my memory recalls that we were 24-0 down before coming back to win it by a couple of points, which was the greatest super league come back of all time until yesterday. Latchford Locks
Yes ...I'm still here.. and might I say; on the correct forum unlike a very recent post Super League average crowds for this season were .. Bulls 11,761 Cas 6,633 Cats 9,383 Huddersfield 7,709 Hull 11,885 Hull KR 7,786 Leeds 14,948 London 2,808 Salford 5,492 Saints 14,088 Wakefield 8,172 Warrington 11,430 Widnes 5,942 Wigan 16,043 Wire showed a 3.8% increase Seven clubs posted average increases. Saints are up 79% and Wakefield 25%. Cats showed a decent increase as well as Salford and Widnes (59%). In Saints and Salford's case, the new stadiums had a bearing. Wigan and Leeds were 1% down and London 10% down. Well we can't be best at everything
safeway60
Time to pull the plug on the London 30+ year experiment...Their attendance figures are a disgrace and wouldn't be tolerated in a *heartland* club. After free tickets are taken into account their attendance must be around 2,000.

And now it would seem Tony Rae has bought them more time with his succesful efforts to improve the team. But sooner or later the stuff will hit the fan and that will be London consigned to the history books along with Scarborough Pirates,Cardiff Blues,Nottingham Outlaws,Lancashire Lynx and many more to numerous to mention. But what I find as much more urgent and alarming was this news from Hull KR http://www.thisishul...tail/story.html If they struggle to survive then I fear a major meltdown at several other clubs and I really don't know where it would all end.
