Is that Boteler Grammar on the far right of your picture Algy?

No baz, if you went down the banking behind the left of the station building you would come to Boteler Grammar school playing field, you can just make out the terraced houses in Grammar School Road (Ex Grappenhall Road before the canal was built).

To the right of the station down the embankment until the ship canal was Warrington Timber Ltd.

Which was the site of the original Latchford station. (I know we have covered this previously, but some may not know!)

It was halfway between the cantilever and the swing bridge on the canal bank.

I was born and brought up in it .

As you will see by comparing the photos the old station was much grander than the wooden hut that replaced it.icon_wink.gif
