Peter T
This brought back some happy memories of the days when it was on Radio. It was on BBC2 tonight and was a one-off get together. Not as good watching it as it was listening all those years ago, but still funny.

Egbert
I agree with everything said. But surely the real issue is: Why can't they make shows like these any more? I look at the TV and radio schedules regularly and just can't find anything, other than ancient repeats, that I want to watch or listen to. Bazj
because most of the artists listed above did their "apprenticeships" through the variety clubs (most now long gone) around the country before getting the big break. Morecambe & Wise, Tommy Cooper, Ken Dodd..... plus all the others, didn't do 6 weeks on a talent show and then became instantly famous.... even Peter Kay (who I think is marvellous) is an absolute ranl amateur when compared with Eric Morecambe! Stallard12
All of the old shows are on Youtube. Just google youtube and name the show. They are all there - The Likely Lads - 'Til Death do Us Part etc. Plus the old radio shows on audio - The Navy Lark and even 'ITMA' from wartime radio.
