Purchasing the shirt isn't compulsory...I, for instance won't be. After over half a century of supporting the mighty Wire I've never worn any colours...shirt....tie...scarf....nowt at all.

I used to ring a bell...but it cost me nowt.

It was 1959 when i played on Wilderspool for Woolston Primary School's Rugby team.

I first watched Warrington when they played away to Widnes in 1958. My uncle Tommy played loose forward for Widnes in that game. I cant remember the result .

First match watching the Wire was against Hull in 1978 and a few weeks/months later witnessed us beat the touring Aussies - that ensured I was hooked for life! :D

Our paths may not have crossed then. I was a Gussie's girl.

I did wait for a coach every morning near the Latchford Methodist, when I was at senior school.

I grew up in Mort Avenue.

I knew the Warburton's from the corner house on Grammar School Road.

My first match was Brian Bevan's last for Warrington.
