fat belly
I have been saying for about 6 weeks that Saints will be our contenders for all the honours this year, even when Wigan were scoring tries for fun a few weeks ago I still said Saints are our real enemy. The Challenge cup will be between Leeds and anyone from us Saints or Wigan and the Grand Final will be between Saints and either us or Leeds. Eagle
'Contender' not a word seen around here for quite a spell.
safeway56
I don't see why Leeds should be considered an automatic favourite for anything this season based on the results so far. They are just about in the top eight and scored 100 points less than the Wire and conceded 100 points more.
fat belly
They are just about in the top eight and scored 100 points less than the Wire and conceded 100 points more. This is precisely why they will put all their eggs in the Challenge Cup basket. A trophy less season is unthinkable for Leeds and they know the CC is their very best chance
Wirewire
Having sat through all the games at the weekend, I would agree. I thought Sts looked the best side on show, and to be honest Leeds were poor!
Gary
and most concerning is we are still looking for that elusive win against St Helens!

Teessidewire
and most concerning is we are still looking for that elusive win against St Helens! It doesn't bother me as much as it does some people. We're in the mix at the moment, and likely to stay in it. The Saints win(s) will come in due course. fat belly
It really bothers me that we haven't beat Saints for so long. When they beat us earlier this season I didn't sleep for a week after.

safeway56
I've never lost any sleep over RL. I've been following the Wire for long enough to have suffered many lows, certainly more lows than highs but it is,after all, only a game of sport...Nobody dies. Not quite right - sadly people have died on the sports fields.
Latchford Wolvesfan
Couldn't agree more, I look at the Saints result before the Wigan one these days and I'm more concerned with Saints closing the gap on us rather than us on Wigan. Forget this points difference stuff as the season wont come down to that, It's who can stay the most consistent and I believe Saints will do that.
