and here is me thinking it was because the police shot a teenager who refused to stop when requested despite having guns pointed at him.

no mention of him being an immigrant illegal or otherwise.

he was a muslim, not that that makes any difference.

as for the riots the french, like the americans, will use any excuse to kick off.

Errm nope Sid;  this kicked off way before the shooting incident,  I recall the camp rats moving into Paris with their tents, which took the focus off the Channel.  This teenager was stopped by Police, he was in a "borrowed" car, but tried to drive off and was fired on, which tends to happen when you evade French police officers.  The riots were already in full swing, but this gave an excuse for it, with the lads Mother sitting atop a truck, smiling at the crowds, as she called for them to "burn Paris to the ground".  😠

Seems there’s differing opinions over how and why this occurred. In the past over there there’s been several incidents where a vehicle has been used to commit terrorism by deliberately driving at people. The driver usually ends up getting shot, and the police are then hailed as the heroes. Yet now, a young Muslim having already hit two pedestrians, driven at the police, and refused to stop, gets shot and some see him as the hero.

Would the police have shot him if he appeared to be a French national rather than a foreigner? Maybe not but given what’s happened in the past the police would have been aware of what could potentially happen if he wasn't stopped.

I think they had no option and probably did the right thing.

Actually, a large number of EU Countries are waking up and moving to the political right.  The Hungarians refuse to give migrants access, the Poles are arranging an exit referendum from the EU, the German AfD are threatening to dissolve the EU.   The only solution is to physically prevent illegal entry and deport any that arrive illegally.   It's ironic that the main demographic that's kicking off in France are from Algeria, an ex-French colony that fought to get rid of French control, then decided life was better in France.  Time to become draconian, these people only respect a hard approach, anything less is deemed weakness and taken advantage of.   If anyone doubts the resolve of indigenous populations, the collection for the Police Officer who shot that teenager, was four times the amount collected for the migrant.  Time we recognised that our globalist politicians are selling us out, time for a radical change.   😠

Seems Turkey won't oppose Sweden's entry into NATO, providing Turkey is allowed to join the EU.   What legally, one has to do with the other is a mystery.  So the EU will invite a MUSLIM Country of over 80million to flood the EU with entrants under free movement rules.   This at a time when most EU Countries are groaning under the strain of immigrants.   😠
