Apparently we're now in a month dedicated to "black" history, which I suppose by it's segregation and compartmentalisation is a racist concept in itself.  However, there's an old guy on Youtube (history debunked), who puts out a forensic analysis of such fads and his researched analysis of this event, exposes the whole event as an attempt, through outright lies and distortions, to promote an historical relevance to various "black people" throughout history.   One example is of "the Mother of medicine" a statue erected by Bristol University; some Pasture like scientist you may guess - but no, she was a US citizen in the twenties in the US, who died of cancer of the cervix. Her claim to fame was that cancer cells extracted from her body were used to discover the nature of the spread of cancer within the body.  There are umpteen examples of "black" people being claimed to have been "heroes" etc, in making significant contributions to history. What is perhaps more disturbing, is that these ridiculous claims are being touted for a place in our education curriculum, without any basis in fact; thus adding to our already dumbed down education system.   There was a piece on N/W News, where efforts are being made to secure a memorial garden to black Jamaican Servicemen in the local RAF Station during WW2.  Now without denigrating the efforts of a generation that endured WW2,  these Jamaican ground staff were nothing out of the ordinary, not battle of Britain fighter pilots or Dam Buster bomber crew, just Commonwealth citizens who voluntered to support Britain in a crisis, then took the opportunity to stay here permanently.   If BLM want to establish some relevance historically, given that their contribution to civilization historically is minute;  instead of trying to establish a segregated relevance, all they need to do is go back to the origins of Homo Sapien in Africa,  where "black" people left Africa to occupy the globe, thus making them the ancestors of us all - so the facts are more inclusive it seems than their ridiculous propaganda.

Some of these wokistas must lie awake for hours wondering what BS to inflict on the population in the hope of appearing important & knowledgeable.

I think it stems from a form of jealousy, that, apart from our original ancestors, they've contributed little or nothing to the progress of mankind; so now wish to grab a portion of history to appear relevant.  This is the kind of rubbish that circulates our current education system.    😠

I don't think it is jealousy because I think the woke folk in the education system are the ones looking to redress the balance and overturn their perception of unfairness of opportunity. Remember from 1984, George Orwell's manual for Wokies,  "Who controls the past controls the future" 

The problem is that they are interpreting equality as equality of outcome rather than the more traditional equality of opportunity. If the desired equality of groups is not achieved then offer quotas until the right outcome is forced.

I will ask why it seems to be only the "black" portion of the human race that is being touted as the downtrodden.

Over the whole of history nearly every race has at some point gone through similar experiences of repression,way back when the first caveman clubbed another over the head with tree branch.

History is whatever you want to make of it and any account is usually written by the winners of whatever scuffle happened at the time. the victors being the heroes and the losers being the villains.
