algy Posted December 15, 2016 Report Share Posted December 15, 2016 Coca-Cola lay claim that they invented the modern day image of Santa/Father Xmas in 1931, not true!, the first recorded image was published in 1896 by the short lived American magazine Puck who copied/modified the name of the British satirical publishment 'Punch'.
