wolfie
Anyone fed up of calling their Doctors for an appointment, only to get an engaged tone, can now register here and make their own appointments and apparently look at their own medical records. Or so they say. http://www.patient.co.uk/patient-access
asperity
I clicked on the link, but it seems to be permanantly engaged

Evil Sid
My doctors has a web based appointment system. You need to get the password from the receptionist but once you are on the system you can book an appointment or order repeat prescriptions. Davy51
Me & Mrs Davy51 do it on line now, so much easier & don't have to disturb our sleep to make appointments by phoning up at the crack of dawn ,so important when you've retired. Leaves us more time to party the night away !
observer
There's an assumption nowadays, that everyone has a PC and is technically savvy - thus leaving the paper and pen brigade as second class citizens.
Latchford Locks
My doctors has a web based appointment system. You need to get the password from the receptionist but once you are on the system you can book an appointment or order repeat prescriptions. My doctors also has a similar system, only problem is there a very few (if any)appointments avaliable and if there is it is usually in 7 days time. So back to square one.
