But then again Obs's reference to being eaten by a Great White in Australia to being beheaded by IS seemed a bit off course too. Evil Sid Posted September 16, 2014 Report Share Posted September 16, 2014 There are chips that can be implanted under the skin but they currently do not have gps tracking capability, also there is a scare that they could be harmful to the user by increasing the risk of cancer. One of the main problems is powering the device. In a car it is hard wired into the electrical system, whereas a chip small enough to be implanted would only have a very short length of time before the power ran out and considering that in britains rural areas and some areas within towns getting a mobile signal is a matter of where you are standing,then trying to find a low power gps signal in the likes of a desert or mountain area would be nigh on impossible. So it doesn't require too many brain cells to work out that in such a volatile climate your life could be at risk. Likewise, folk are aware of sharks in the 0zzy seas (as well as jelly fish, sea snakes & stone fish), and crocs in the rivers, but some idiots still go swimming in them. As for texting, I've yet to see a bloke doing it; seen blokes talking on mobiles while driving, perhaps texting is too challenging for us guys! Always a guy doing that by the way (not sure if he is a drug dealer or an undercover cop) youngsters of both sexes wandering blithely along haedphones on and staring intently at the phone held at arms length in front of them. People trying to cross busy roads mere feet from pedestrian controlled lights rather than walk a few extra steps to press the button. As for what goes on whilst driving, reading papers, using phones, applying makeup shaving and even eating a bowl of cornflakes. Everywhere has its indigenous hazards as well as its man made ones. Cyclists are my main bane. Whether it be whilst in my car, on my motorbike or walking the dog down sankey valley. Whilst it's a military reality that wars cannot be won with airpower alone, the objective of allied air strikes is to degrade ISIS and weaken them militarily. It appears to be working, as they appear to have no counter for the jets; other than this barbarous act of mutilating captured westerners, in order to goad the West into putting boots on the ground. There are "boots on the ground" in terms of special forces, to train the Iraqis and Kurds, and to guide the air strikes onto targets. The only missing players in a co-ordinated crusade to totally eliminate this evil, seem to be the Iranians and the Syrians. The stupidity of HMG in not having an informal alliance with these players, on the basis of "my enemies enemy is my friend"; merely causes delay in exterminating ISIS totally, and gaining a political settlement to the future of the Region.
