Despite the way our armed forces are treated there are still some very brave men amongst their number:

A very brave young man indeed and good to see his bravery has received such an high award. 

 

His family must be very proud despite their hearts being broken because he has been taken from them.  I find it very hard to read these things and it's very sad that someone so young can loose their life in such a way and that so many others have lost their lives too or been injured :(

 

To me ALL our front line armed forces are very brave people indeed.

Agreed. I'm not belittling anybody in our armed forces but the award of the Victoria Cross shows true courage.
