Guarding the public space -

Recommended Posts

It begins -  incidents in London schools now indicate a growing demand by one particular religious grouping for privileged treatment, IE, the right to prayer time during teaching periods and the right to wear pro-Palastinian  badges on their school uniform.   The school authorities have rightly banned such an approach and have now received bomb threats allegedly from angry parents.  Whilst freedom of religion is perfectly acceptable within the private confines of a religious group, it does not give any right to impose it on the public space, which imo should be kept secular.   😠

That’s a tricky one.

I’m not sure how prayer time works in a mixed school? I don’t think the answer is to have specialist faith schools though as that only breeds division. And we can’t turn the clock back to when immigrants weren’t an issue, so all the kids need to be taught respect for others religions and nationalities.

As for the wearing of badges and stickers or bringing protest arguments into the classroom; No, that absolutely shouldn’t be allowed nor should the wearing of any kind of national dress that identifies them as being different that the rest.

Bill 😊

Seems the heading could be extended to "Guarding the public health" -  It appears that measles are spreading, particularly in the Birmingham area.  Going back we compliant Anglo-Saxons dutifully had our full range of vaccinations, which conquered many of the infections that had affected previous generations.   Then there was the MMR scare which reduced confidence in the jab,  plus another rumour that the vaccine contained pig products, which scared off a particular ethnic group, resulting in the return of a disease that we thought had been eradicated.   So primitive belief systems are now threatening our public safety.    😠

I have more confidence in independent journalism than the woke propaganda of the MSM.

Are you fact checking what you read, because I don’t think you are!!, it would actually help you, as what you are saying at the moment is easy to over turn
