Dizzy Posted March 31, 2013 Report Share Posted March 31, 2013 It must have been awful aboard those ships and no wonder so many people didn't survive the journey. OK so many were convicts but when you see what some of them were actually deported for it does make you sit and think and it must have been just as awful for the ships staff. In today's times the 'convicts' would all be sent on cruise liners with every conceivable amenity on board so as not to cause them and hardship or distress.
