Eh What!? They also called such sentences draconian. I wonder if the ECHR is where doddery old fools of judges go to after they retire? Evil Sid Posted September 19, 2012 Report Share Posted September 19, 2012 Having thought a bit more about it I have not changed my mind, 100 years is a definite prison sentence and as such does not impinge on their human rights. But does this mean that we can now do away with suspended sentences and just jail them as a suspended sentence is a bit indefinite. If they want to "work" and get out in the fresh air I am sure that some friendly farmer could find them a job as a scarecrow for a few months during winter preferably..
