observer
O.K. but given the numbers of immigrants we get, we might as well be! But we are signed up to the free movement of labour, which is why we're now a Polish province.

asperity
That would Lt Kije, Asp, not LtKije   When you start taking a bit of care over your own grammar and spelling in your posts Lt Kije, you might earn the right to criticize any slight errors in mine.
Lt Kije
I've corrected two of yours today , I normally let peoples go, but as you never miss an opportunity when it comes to mine, I thought what the hell. I have the excuse that some of my posts come from my phone whats yours  On the other hand you could stop pointing my typo's out and I will do the same, but I think your to pedantic to do that  Or are you
asperity
I think you are becoming paranoid to be honest. If I were to post every time you made a mistake I would have a full time job on here. Get over yourself LtKije, Lt Kije or however you want your pseudonym spelt. I have always admitted being pedantic so you can't throw that at me. Anyway give my love to Middlesborough, fine place
Bazj
Nurses going to Uni is a relatively new thing... they used to just learn in hospitals and all the 1st year students used to live in the nurses home near my mums...... lovely place! observer
It's called "professionalising" Baz, gets them out of cleaning bed pans - for which you then introduce a new (lower) strata of nurse!

Lt Kije
Obs they might do that in psychiatric hospitals that you ocasanally get treated in, but things have moved on in general hospitals, nurses are actually allowed to dispense drugs and treat people now
observer
I know, hence the creation of lower strata of "nurses" to clean the bed pans and wipe the backsides etc.
inky pete
Nurses have always dispensed drugs. Â They have always been responsible for dishing out the medication to patients in hospital. You don't degree level maths to count a few pills!
Lt Kije
Nurses do alot more than they did twenty years ago inky, why don't you take alook before righting them off
observer
They used to have SRNs, SENs and now auxilliaries or assistants. I'm not knocking the aspiration of occupations to improve standards and qualifications, and turn their jobs into professions; BUT, the person with the degree, will tend to be employed behind a desk rather than at the coal face - and perhaps we've enough beaurocrats in the NHS already?
