robot
Perhaps the footy club should have a word with Peel Holdings? Seriously, anyone building up hopes would need planning from the Council surely?

JayC
Gary. Do the club intend moving from the current ground as I feel it would not pass the criteria for the football league. John
Gary
The current ground will take usd all the way to the conference. It would not be good enough for the football league - so would require some major investment or a new stadium. We are exploring various avenues. Pleased to say the team won 3-1 on Saturday and we are on the fringe of the play offs and only four points behind league leaders - what we do need is more people coming down to watch the games. Let me know if you are interested in attending a game and I will ensure a warm welcome. Rugby season over now so come on down! We play in blue and yellow and are nicknamed the Wire - just got different shaped balls!
AdrianR
Went once last year. Throughly emjoyed it and going to take the eldest again more than once this year. (beat Buxton 2-1 if i remember rightly ) Catering facilities need to be improved somewhat as do some of the standing facilities. Some small investment at this stage will no doubt bring more people in. Anyone suggested ground sharing with the Wolves? :thinker:

Gary
Quite right - can't update that site from home - but there is a link working from the front page of the WWW home page if you scroll down. I will have to have words with the person responsible for the broken link!
disgusted
Gary. Do the club intend moving from the current ground as I feel it would not pass the criteria for the football league. John Gary, has the possibility of ground sharing with the Wolves ever been looked at?
Gary
Yes - but we would need to get much bigger grounds and the Wolves pitch would have to be a lot better for drainage.
