P J
I took this on Monday evening from the towpath looking down towards the Barn Owl pub. Sorry for not posting for a while, Algy was doing such a fine job my pics weren't needed.
Dizzy
Lovely pic PJ and glad to see you posting yours too again. One of the clouds/gaps in the sky looks like a little zig zag of lightening and did you add the ripples to the water in the forefront ? P J
Thanks Dizzy. I didn't add the ripples, I got lucky with those naturally, also the same with the zig zag cloud. Its probably a contrail that got distorted somehow.
inky pete
Looks like the ragged leading edge of a high level cloud being illuminated by the sun off from the left.
P J
The sun is to the right, but it could well be a cloud.
inky pete
The sky is lightest behind the tree to the left, assumed that was where the sun was.
P J
There was an artificial light source to the left which I hid behind a tree, this is probably where the confusion arose. It doesn't matter to be honest
Dizzy
I could see it so you didn't hide it that well PJ

algy
Superb picture PJ full of atmosphere and has great depth to the composition with both the line of boats and telephone wires tailing off into the distance, and PJ there is a great difference in exhibiting your own work, as you do rather than posting old photos of somebody else's work as I do, however I have just returned fom the Murcia region in Spain and shall be posting some 'snaps' in the General section later, arrived at Liverpool's sorry excuse for an airport last night in what felt like freezing weather after departing from Murcia airport at close to 30 degrees C. Brrrrrrrr!.
