kevofaz25
Should be an interesting fixture if today's reports are true that Gazza is the new Manager at Garforth Town??
Gary
Lets hop he can keep the job that long - his last attempt at football management didn't last very long. I hope we can welcome him to the field of dreams later in the season. suffolk's finest
My source----1000 news on Gold - Channel 0121 on Sky - says that he is only in frame for the job and that no annoucement will be forthcoming today. If he gets the job - good luck to him - sure he will need it!
Peter T
I hope it doesn't end in tears.

Furious Town Boys
Sky Sports News has published the story so I guess it is true, good luck to Gazza and on a bigger picture this can only be good for Football at our level and give it the exposure it needs on a national basis
Gary
Lets hope he makes his debut next Tuesday to ensure a bumper turn out from the barmy army to inspire the lads to victory and start his managerial career with a defeat. Wiretown.Editor
Sounds like the sort of Stunt Garforth would pull, such as playing Socrates the other year (for 1 or 2 games only). Time will tell if it is just another publicity stunt.

burgerman
whos gazza? please tell me your joking Gazza is one of the most gifted footballers this country has ever produced!! Paul Gascoigne was a superb player and could have become one of the greatest players the world has ever seen!! however due to his passion and some personal issues he never lived up to his potential. Barmy_army
ok never heard of him !
Furious Town Boys
It is a shame Gazza couldn't handle the pressures of being famous and took to drink, he was such a great player in his prime, I will never forget that goal he scored for England against Scotland...truely memorable moment. Matt - he was similar to David Beckham to put it simply when I was growing up anyway, before your time maybe. Although you must have heard about him??? Although you must have heard about him??? that was one of the best goals of the 90s he turned the best defender in england all over the place. his most famous moment however was probably crying in the world cup semi final in 1990. Peter T
Barmy Army, have you heard of George Best?
suffolk's finest
Have to disagree with FTB - Gazza was ten times better than Beckham ever was!
Furious Town Boys
Suffolk I was going for the reputation wise for the similarity, they were both different styles of players but would rather watch Gazza still over the modern day players in the top leagues. If Gazza is in the right frame of mind for management then I am sure he will help Garforth improve this season, it will be a tough game now on Tuesday night. Just hope it is a little early for him and we show them how to play football
Aaron
gazza was class although i never actually saw him play just got old footage and what a player he was although i disagree saying he was 10 times better than beckham beckham has done more for his country but it's a shame what happened to gazza but still things happen and i wish him all the best if he is to take the garforth job
