Confused52
The House of Commons was tonight unable to deal with a vote on a Gaza ceasefire today because of external threats to Members and their family according to MR Speaker Hoyle. The final uproar was because there wasn't a recorded vote to show constituents who supported a ceasefire. On the face of it it just a procedural problem but there may be more to it as it unravels over the next few days.
Observer II
Think your right - Labour and flip-flop Starmer have lost the Muslim vote now, and will no doubt be frightened for their safety - what a bunch of snowflakes. They're trying to be all things to all men and finishing up being nothing to all of them. 😑
ninearches
It is unbelievable that we have all this uproar over a motion for a Gaza ceasefire which will be completely disregarded by the 2 warring factions anyway. It is a pity the MPs can't show as much attendance at Parliament & as much passion over matters that affect the UK .
Observer II
It merely exposes the true sordid nature of politics Dave; these MPs are careerists, they worry only of keeping their seats and will panic if that is threatened by a strong pressure group, like the Muslim vote. Like Starmer, they will do anything, say anything to advance themselves politically, not a scrap of principle or conviction between the lot of them. 😠
Observer II
Seems with the Lee Anderson suspension; we now have a protected demographic, immune from criticism using the Islamaphobia and race card, while protesting over issues that we can't influence or control, they interfere with our political system and with us. Just to illustrate how distant our woke MPs are from the indigenous Brits, we have the commons speaker blaming "white fundementalists" for the current strife. If those "white fundementalists" don't step up to the plate, and challenge sectarianism, they will loose their Country and way of life. While 3 MPs have now been given personal bodyguards and vehicles, at our expense; the woke politicians are blaming "the far right" which nowadays refers to the majority of Brits. The far right have todate been responsible for two incidents against MPs, while mob intimidation by Muslim protesters is rife throughout the Capital. 😠

People in public life have to be careful with their words, or at the very least back them up
Observer II
You can burn as many bibles as you like, but burn a Quran and these backward idiots are up in arms. We are seeing the end of free speech. 😠
ninearches
It is disgraceful that Muslims & Jews are allowed to act out their war on British streets . This is a so called Christian country which has already become too tolerant to manipulation by other groups. It is little wonder that we have unrest among right leaning members of British society. Observer II
All we hear from the leftwaffe is about the right to protest, but this has gone beyond protest to intimidation. The police are absolutely pathetic, the recent "protest" at Chorley Town Hall, totally disrupting the function of Local Government over an issue that cannot remotely be influenced by a local Council, where the Police didn't clear the protesters out immediately, but awaited complaints of assault, so they could possibly charge a local councillor, shows up their woke weakness. 😠
