Observer II
Well, it was just a matter of time before Remoaner Hunt made his move to start to emmesh the UK back into the EU; as if that will salvage any of the mess that MPs have got us into. At enormous costs to the tax-payer and with the re-opening of our doors to free movement, our incompetant Leaders want to pass the buck to Brussels to hide their own incapacity to govern. Well, I guess it's Reform from now on for Brexiteers, come back Nigel ffs. 😠

Observer II
Believe this started in the Times, since been taken up on Youtube by Tousi, Heaver and Preston Journalist. Seems Sunack has given up on the "red wall" and are now playing to the "blue wall", to keep the woke, remoaner liberals out.
Confused52
Well that would just reignite civil war in the Conservative Party and Steve Barclay on Sky today said he didn't recognise it and wouldn't support it. I'll bet it sold a few more copies of the Times though.
Observer II
Well, the evidence of inaction to-date, first by May; then by Johnson & Truss, and now Sunack; has shown us that the will of "the people" in the Referendum has not been pursued. EG: Failure to scrap the N/Ireland protocol, which threatens the Union of the UK. Failure to pursue the National interests of the UK, through self sufficiency policies, and minimalisation of our dependency on globalism, especially the pursuit of suicidal policies over Ukraine and net zero. It is the job imo, of a British Government to first look after the well being of it's indigenous population; unfortunately, the standard of competance, the myopia of our politicians prevents the interests of the peasants being pursued. ninearches
Apparently .the Times has reported that a Swiss style agreement of closer cooperation with the EU is a possibility to solve our labour shortage & the NI problem. The Tory party really wants to ground the kite that the Times flew at the weekend.
Observer II
I think it merely underlines the fact that we haven't realised Brexit and the Remoaner forces haven't given up on trying to reverse it, even in Tory ranks. What it has given a headwind to, is the Reform Party, which is gathering increasing support from Tories and Leavers, as a clear alternative to Lab/Con duopoly we're saddled with. 😠
ninearches
There is definitely a great panic in the labour market & what needs to be done in that respect is to get our sit at home scroungers back into gainful employment. I would go so far as offering zero hours contract work to people who are hamstrung by the 16 hour/week benefit rule. Offer these people work without it affecting benefits. It could help to solve employee shortages & inject spending power into the economy. Even Starmer has suggested migrant labour should be discouraged in favour of a homegrown workforce.
