Observer II
Sounds like Boris is backing down on excluding the EU from OUR fishing waters. One reason being put, is that the UK's fishing fleet and processing industry is now too small to reclaim the bounty. But surely, until this can be done, reduced fishing will benefit fish stocks ? If we allow EU fishermen to continue trawling our waters, it means them selling us our own fish or selling it into the EU tariff free ? 😠
Davy51
Perhaps a suitable deal & fishery protection vessels have not sat well together since 1975 ,but all the fishing stocks need careful monitoring & enforcement of the EU fleets under sized nets should come from the EU courts. Observer II
As I understand it, our territorial waters are OUR territory, and thus should not be open to foreign fishing vessels. 😠
asperity
Apparently Charles II granted fishing rights "in perpuity" to 50 Flemish fishermen from Bruges in British waters.
