Dizzy
A good or bad investment ?http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/articles/18654/1/Golden-Square-Shopping-Centre-sold-for-141m/Page1.html
Geoffrey Settle
I wouldn't have thought that you would spend that sort of money without it being well researched. I think that it is a positive and welcome investment in the Town Centre.
Dizzy
True and here's hoping the new owners give us all free parking
Evil Sid
on a slight tangent but to do with parking. why has there suddenly appeared at the entrance to the car parks along winwick road, between central station and the ligt going to halliwell jones, masts with cameras on them. every entrance to those car parks has at least two cameras pointed at it. is it some kind of parking survey or are they trying to make sure nobody gets away without payng? Dizzy
No idea Evils and I've not seen them as I've not been over that way this week. Maybe they are number plate recognition cameras to catch out drivers with no insurance, mot or tax or something.
Evil Sid
seems quite a lot for catching tax dodgers and the like. they only seem to be targeting the one by the station and the one where the car wash is. Eight cameras is a bit of overkill. did wonder if they are lokoing at how much trade they get with a view to upping the prices. after all they are in south warrington. Ann Raymond
True and here's hoping the new owners give us all free parking The new owner might remove the free parking on Thursday evenings and Sundays:( I hope they repair the roof to the car park to stop it flooding whenever it rains
wolfie
Apparently it attracts 12,000,000 visitors a year, or put another way - more than the population of Warrington visit every week. So how come every time I visit the shops are empty? Or did they know I was coming?
