Obs 1812 was merely the overture for the french and as for germany well losing two world wars and one world cup is bound to cause some resentment.

We may have a (lone) voice inside the EU, we certainly don't have influence. Out of the 27 member Council of Ministers, we're clearly outvoted by at least 20 net recipients of EU funds - our money.

Think of it from their point of view: a Doctor in Bulgaria will earn eight times more in the UK;  if their unemployed come to the UK and claim, it relieves their Governments of the cost of paying out benefits. So the whole set up is a joke on us, and the gullible will be opting to stick with it !
