The Wire The Wire
On Saturday, Warrington Town face Skelmersdale United in the Evo-Stik NPL First Division North. Games between the two sides have been great encounters over the years and with Town in fine form, it is a great chance to avenge the 4-1 defeat back in August. We have our usual Cantilever Curtain Raiser between WTJFC & Appleton Boys this week followed by the Skem game at 3:00pm. COME ON THE WIRE PS - Santa suits are welcome
WireWarrior97
If we want more Santa suits at the home games, how about "Santa Claus is coming to Town"? Only Town/Wire based pun I aint heard yet
Gary
Would be good to see the Santa barmy army at the next three home games - especially Lancaster - as that was their first ever outing!
tg
Give us time to get the sewing kits out! Most of us only had cheap ones, the trousers had split even before we got into their ground!
AdrianR
Anyone know if the pitch is holding up with all this rain / sleet / hail * (delete as applicable)?
Gary
Anyone know if the pitch is holding up with all this rain / sleet / hail * (delete as applicable)? It has taken a lot of water and is a bit water logged but drains well - it will depend on how much falls over night and in the morning. WireWarrior97
Wouldn't it be an idea to put a big fat sheet on top of football pitches to stop this stuff happening?

Gary
Pitch looking Ok and expecting the game to go ahead as normal - so lets see the barmy army out in force to welcome the team back following their heroics at Macclesfield on Tuesday night. Should be a bumper crowd as the Under 7,8 &9s coming to the club's Christmas party. Blue skies appearing over the field of dreams and sunshine breaking through! Peter T
Town lost 2-1. what happened to Radio Warrington? No reports and I listened for ages. Not too keen on the music.

AdrianR
Can I just say that we were unlucky to lose this weekend. Skem werent what I was expecting from a top two side and whilst their first was a screemer no one would have stopped (was it a free kick anyway?) and we shot ourseleves for the 2nd, we did have plenty of posession and chances. Still plety to play for.
