Eagle
Basil D'Oliveira has died at the age of 80, he was one of the most important and significant sportmen of the 20th Century; his selection for the MCC for a tour of South Africa and his refused entry to the country was a followed by South Africa being almost entirely ostracised from world sport. It was a vital spark in the downfall of the despicable regime. Isn't it ironic that descendants of the white supreme race are playing for the England national team 40 years later? asperity
Not so much ironic as a sign that the world is shrinking at an ever increasing pace  A jolly good cricketer all the same
