burgerman
Bamber are also in a mess the the inland revenue handing them a huge tax bill. Its a massive shame that non league football is being battered whilst the money at the top is becoming obscene.
Woody
What I don't get about the Bamber situation, is who decided not to pay the tax that they owed, whoever did that, should hang their heads in shame, whether the club survives or not
WireWarrior97
At this rate, is there a chance that no-one gets relegated this season? If Bamber/Prescot/Wakefield do go, will that take up the relegation places? That's half of our on-field problems sorted... Best of luck to them. Is it these who scored that one from halfway against us?
burgerman
They usually dont have relegation if a few teams go bust. i seem to remember one year Town would have gone down if it wasnt for Spennymoor United and Runcorn going out of exsistance. Rossendale use to get a reprive every year aswell as teams in higher divisions went belly up. At this rate Town will be in the playoffs by default. . On the few occasions we finished close to the bottom of the table we always knew which positions should be relegated and ours was not one of them, other than in 1997 when we did go down. In the end even places below us were saved by default on occasion. Sad to hear of clubs in trouble, but Wakefield is no great surprise with no home and very little income.
