observer
Following the almighty greed and incompetance of the rich and powerfull, resulting in financial crash and the consequent period of austerity - it seems some of their advocates are appearing out of the woodwork to challenge the 50p rate of tax by claiming it dis-incentivises (rich) folk and has an adverse effect on economic growth. But, what was particularly nauseating, was the notion that "they" (the rich) are the only folk who "work hard" for a living, which assumes that the rest don't. Evil Sid
I wish I had to pay only fifty pence in tax.
Peter T
The Gov. would do far better to stop the loopholes and the use of hiding monies away overseas. The hand wringing over the 50p is ridiculous because if the income is that much, they normally have accountants who manage to evade paying the full amount.
