vic
Sold at auction in three lots: Knutsford Road to Grammar School Road, Grammar School Road to Wash Lane, Wash Lane toward the Latchford run-round sidings. http://www.pugh-auctions.com/Auction/Manchester/20101014 I was looking for how they were marketing the old toilet block at Bluecoat Street! Can't dismantle the embankment - green corridor etc - but maybe sell edges for expanding residents' gardens? (If they've not already encroached...) Dizzy
Quite suprised how much they went for in the end considering the guide price and no offers on Woolston Library (that suprised me). There are a further 50 pieces of land listed in the guardian this week that the council are disposing off.. objections to be submitted by 28th Oct Good investment if they are near any land which may in the future be needed for development or of course if access to other areas is needed over it
observer
So, no light rail or fixed bus route then?
Dizzy
Depends on who's bought them Obs ...... Peel Holdings maybe
AdrianR
Light rail or bus was never an option due to the state of the viaduct over the ship canal (costs of repairing) and other losses to the route further on i.e. trans pennine trail. Peter T
Does that include the sidings behind Priestley and the Stadium? Where can you get the bridge numbers from?

Wingnut
I can give you all the Bridgewater canal bridge numbers from Preston Brook to Lymm Village and beyond. I might even go on Mastermind with them as me specialist subject.

vic
Does that include the sidings behind Priestley and the Stadium? Where can you get the bridge numbers from? No, they'll only be released if the Arpley chord is built so trains to/from Fiddlers Ferry don't have to reverse at Latchford. Bridge numbers? http://www2.mihalis.net/canal/cgi-bin/gazette.cgi Click Northwest, Bridgewater, Main Line.
