andygill
Is Newlove Warrington still in existence? The website in most cases is at least 12 months out of date. Cheers Andy
Peter T
I don't think so. The shop opposite Nero's in the mall has been empty for ages. It was only a short term publicity stunt, allegedly.
theinsider
Long gone!
observer
Would that be Baroness Newlove of Warrington?!
Peter T
Just don't mention her name around Padgate or Fearnhead.
Bazj
I wonder how long it will be before she starts fiddling the allowances and expenses!!!
observer
Sure she'll be making the case in parliament for no police cuts and for more police on our streets - oops forgot, she's a Tory Peer!
Dizzy
Wonder what happened to all the equipment and money that was raised. Thought they were going to run days for teenagers to learn all about media and radio etc etc. They had a lot of press coverage regarding their great ideas for community learning, involvement, inspiration and positive ways forward for youngsters in particular but it seems to have gone down the pan with all the nonsense about peerages and dame honours. Guess that's all it turned out to be in the end... just an idea... shme as they could have made a difference I guess
Bazj
Once the money starts to roll in, Warrington will be a distant memory!
kevofaz25
It's a shame that the good work being done at grass roots level with Radio Warrington has been over shadowed by the whole Newlove campaign. As Yazz once said- the only way is up...
