asperity
The mouthpiece of the USSR was Pravda (translated "The Truth"). This is what it has to say today about the EU: http://tinyurl.com/yer4xeo We get what we vote for. Unfortunately too many people couldn't be a**ed
observer
Article 11 is interesting: "freedom to hold and share views" - now did Germany sign up to this? Cos at the moment, it is illegal to have a view that denies the holocaust.
Bazj
It wouldn't suprise me that in 20 years time; we don't have massive revolution against this EU state.... just like the Eastern block revolution. Chauchescu's fate would be just about right for Brown in my book!!
Paul Kennedy
Another example would be the break up of Yugoslavia after Tito's death.
safeway56
When Russia joins the EU it will stretch from the Atlantic in the West to the Pacific in the east...a mighty nation...one language eventually...one currency, one DEFENSIVE military. The largest trading bloc the world had ever known. I'll be long dead of course and so will everybody else on here. It'll take four or five generations but it will happen eventually.
