Geoffrey Settle
Whats the 'Chess' bug and what does it do chess.exe (Ogid Worm) - DetailsIf your computer has the chess.exe process running on it, your computer may be infected with a form of the ogid worm. chess.exe is considered to be a security risk, not only because antivirus programs flag Ogid Worm as a virus, but also because a number of users have complained about its performance. Ogid Worm is likely a virus and as such, presents a serious vulnerability which should be fixed immediately! Delaying the removal of chess.exe may cause serious harm to your system and will likely cause a number of problems, such as slow performance, loss of data or leaking private information to websites I believe you also know that you have it as it displays a chess board. Once on a stick it transfers to ever macnine that it is plugged into. Many of it's files are hidden and you can't delete them like ordinary files. I've tried the Malware product mentioned above which took 3 hours to run and found no infections yet a simple search found a dozen! Still the Malware product should deal with others.
