observer
The news that India has launched a space vehicle to the moon, may be thought by some, given their levels of poverty, rather strange - have they got their priorities right? Egbert
True - but couldn't the same thing be said of just about every other country that has launched rockets into space other than the US?
Evil Sid
maybe. if you think about it they could be vying for some of the lucrative money that being able to launch satellites brings and therefore bring much needed capital into their economy. observer
Didn't Gordon Brown recently give ?millions of OUR money to India and China recently - now it seems they are clearly not charity cases. But as has been said; even the US (richest nation on earth, with $trillions being budgeted on the arms and space race) has 20% of it's people living below the poverty line, without access to to basic health care.
