Observer II
Seems our electoral system isn't going to resolve our current woes, with the Tories still not "getting Brexit done" by tolerating the N/I protocol and totally failing to prevent illegal migration, now costing the tax-payer £120 per night per migrant, to stay in four star hotels. Labour of course, want to open the flood gates and let them all in, while sucking up to the EU for more involvement in our affairs. Now a war of words over the cost of living, set to spiral. Well, we all knew the cost of the pandemic would be high, the only question being who would pay, and the Tory option is for the very people who lent them their vote in 2019, who can least afford it, will pay a disproportionate price. Labour of course, will claim they are going to make things easier for the plebs, when their commitment to "green energy" is part of the problem, and will see the great unwashed having to give up their cars and have their gas boilers ripped out, making energy even more costly. Come back Nigel, we're desperate. 😠
Observer II
To make matters worse, whilst Boris may have no convictions; it seems Starmer and Labour are even worse. Their latest gambit to gain votes is by standing pro-independence (Labour) candidates in Scotland; which shows they are prepared to preside over the break up of the UK, total sell out merchants. Come back Nigel and save us. 😠

Observer II
In effect, we're living in a one Party State, which basically represents a middle class liberal elite, who view the uneducated working class with contempt. This is now being shown by the failure of Gov to "get Brexit done", as supported by the Plebs in 2019, by a failure to secure separation from the EU for N/Ireland and the nonsense of undefended National borders. Meanwhile, tin pot politicians in Wales and Scotland continue to undermine Brexit at every opportunity, the latest being Drakeford's employment of liason advisor with the EU, totally outside his political devolutionary mandate. If the working class remain wedded to the two Party State, they will be ignored and eventually penalised by the elite. EG. ripping out their gas boilers, banning their car use etc. 😠
Observer II
The more I think about it, the more one can see the operation of our class system throughout our history, since 1066. The periodic revolts in history have been by the upper classes, using the peasants to deliver them; from the Barons forcing King John to sign the Magna Carta, the Peasants revolt where Richard II reneged on promises to the Peasants; Oliver Cromwell's seizure of power for the middle class landowners, dismissing the Plebs who had done the fighting to attain his Civil War victory. It's puzzling as to why this successive abuse of the lowest classes, has persisted throughout history, but perhaps it's all down to education, or rather the lack of it, and the ease in which working class leaders have been bought off by the establishment throughout ? Now the Brexit Referendum and the subsequent 2019 election allowed the peasants to establish their political supremacy; when they placed their trust in Boris to "get Brexit done"; but have since seen their hopes sold out by an arrogant elite; their arrogance finally displayed by the current farce of "Party Gate", played up by the Remoaner press and politicians; a particularly British Coup. But sadly, the Plebs then become their own worst enemy, by switching their support back to the very political class that holds them in contempt, rather than insisting on true representation of their original aspirations. Those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it's mistakes. 😠
