john atkinson
Can anyone give me, or direct me to, any information about Sankey Street Chapel, Warrington? A church bell from Christ Church, Macclesfield, Cheshire was sold to this chapel in 1815, and I should be interested to know if the chapel (and the bell) still exist, or if not what became of them. Gary
Not ringing any bells here! Sorry couldn't resist - but checked with our office elder who used to work on Sankey Street and he has never heard of it.
mike_b
Could it be Cairo Street church(which is just off Sankey street)?
wolfie
I think it was also known as the Sankey street Academy :thinker:
