asperity
A very spirited performance by the Wire away at Wigan first game of the 2020 season saw Wigan winning 16-10. However the Wire played with 12 men from the 23rd minute onwards, Chris Hill being red-carded for a high tackle that resulted in a penalty try for Wigan, and were reduced to 11 for 10 minutes in the second half when Mike Cooper was sin-binned. For long periods of the game Warrington were on top, despite being down to 12 men, and could have snatched a win. Lets hope for a similar performance against St Helens next week!
Wirewire
Yes I thought it was a very promising performance full of grit and determination. I think we'd have won if Coops hadn't have gone to the bin. Big pat on the back for the conditioning team as I thought we looked fit, fast and sharp throughout. Full of optimism for the reat of the season if that performance is going to be used as a yardstick....
