asperity
A half-time score of 14-0 to the Wire looked like it was a walk in the park. Second half and Wakefield showed they had other ideas, scoring a couple of quick tries and proving to be tricky customers. At the end of a nail biting 40 minutes Wire came out on top 23-16 but it wasn't pretty!
Wirewire
It certainly wasn't pretty and the referee wasn't the best but the most important thing was that we won and hopefully that will instill some self belief for the playoffs.
asperity
Kendall certainly isn't the best even of a list of poor referees. Some of his decisions border on the bizarre.
Latchford Locks
I once refereed a friendly match some years ago now. And I tell you now ,I wouldn't have their jobs for a gold clock. They are not perfect;but just watch on sky all the antics the players of both sides get up to. Plus they have to keep track of tackle counts and remember all the new rule changes. Then put up with abuse from fans Plus be scrutinized by sky commentators who can watch incidents over and over in slow motion then give withering comments on the ref's errors. No thanksĀ
