Geoffrey Settle
Paul according to my neighbour the Lib-Dems are doing you a favour in their Poulton North Focus No 40 with the Headline 'Can't win Here' Con 5 - so the honeymoon is over and the gloves are off. Apparently apart from dismissing the blues as a non entity they are full of good cheer and **** a hoot about their successes - claiming that the 'Borough Council is in good hands'. observer
Realise your too thick to worry about libel laws Geoff; but could you explain how someone can "kick" someone else "off the Council"?!

It is a standard L/D message used all over the country and aimed at whichever party has the least seats. Personally I never "married" the L/Ds and thereby thankfully avoided the honeymoon. Divorce,....might be as soon as May 2nd, should however be easy as the marriage was never consummated In the case of the L/Ds I sense they are fearful of divorce given their reliance on the expertise of the 3 Conservative Execs...and lack of talent on their own benches. Geoffrey Settle
Does that mean you will be able to take overall control this time Paul? Being a bit thick I can't work out the stats but you'd have have some sort of landslide. I suppose 'kick off' could be at the start of an event, so maybe Dave was referring to his victory in winning the seat of long time ago. It kicked off his glorious career. I think it may have been in the previous century but my memory is failing me these days, but it certainly got a reaction from obs [ 13.03.2008, 20:02: Message edited by: Semi-retired Geoff ]

Paul Kennedy
The current arrangement isn't a coalition...it's a shared administration....I'm told.
Geoffrey Settle
But will the coagulate start to melt on March the 27th? observer
I'm not aware of any indication from either Party that the current arrangement is anything other than a pragmatic response to an electoral outcome.
Paul Kennedy
I have no doubt each party will put up a full slate of candidates...thereby giving the voters a choice.
Dizzy
Didn't all parties put up a full slate of candidates last time then and why not

Stephen Taylor
I would prefer to be the DEPUTY SHERIFF Now there's an idea. Another good idea would be an elected Mayor, non of this Kiss, Kiss, suck, suck, it's your turn tomorrow rubbish.
